The narrow cobblestone streets, old-world charm, and live music pouring out of the traditional restaurants created an enchanting ambiance. I savored the flavors of Serbian cuisine, indulging in mouthwatering dishes like pljeskavica and sarma, while being serenaded by talented local musicians.

4. Unwind at Ada Ciganlija: When I needed a break from the city buzz, I sought solace at Ada Ciganlija. This river island oasis offered a serene escape, complete with sandy beaches, refreshing water activities, and lush greenery. I rented a bike and leisurely pedaled around the park, reveling in the natural beauty surrounding me.

5. Dive into Belgrade’s Nightlife: Belgrade truly comes alive after dark, and I relished the vibrant nightlife scene. I danced the night away at some of the city’s famous clubs, enjoying the pulsating beats and energetic atmosphere. The floating river clubs, known as splavs, provided a unique party experience on the water.

Whether it was engaging in lively conversations over rakija or being invited to join in traditional festivities, the genuine kindness of the people made my time in Belgrade even more special.
