About Me

Get to know me a bit better…

Here’s a brief story of how I got to be in the position I am today as Global Vagabond (ok, so I just made that one up!) and a Digital Nomad!…

I dreamed of being free from the 9 to 5 job, or in my case 5.00am until 4.00pm for years as a chef in a cafe but never really thought it was possible, mainly because I wasn’t thinking “smart”

I always saw people like Richard Branson and Elon Musk as these untouchable, “smart” people and larger-than-life characters that lived in a world I could never reach.

I know I’m never going to be a billionaire but what I’ve realized is that they aren’t that different from you or me. They just had a dream and took action towards making it a reality.

I made the transition to a full time Nomad over a 4 year period while working my regular full-time job. I started building websites and promoting products that I earned a commission on (Affiliate Marketing)

I got quite good at it and was making a tidy income on top of my full time wage.

As time went by I figured if I scaled it up a bit I could quit my job, I took some time off work and did some travelling, then made my mind up, took a leap of faith and now I earn my living on the internet and have multiple income streams which I detail on other pages of this site.

So if you’re sitting there reading this thinking “I want to be free from the 9 to 5 but I don’t know how,” then let me tell you that it is possible. And I’m going to show you how.

There are seven main things you need to do in order to make the escape from the 9 to 5:

Have a positive mindset – This may seem like common sense, but you would be surprised how many people go into goal setting with a negative attitude. If you don’t believe in yourself, it will be very difficult to achieve anything.

Find your “why” – What is it that you really want to do with your life? What are your passions and talents? When you know what it is that you want to do, it will be much easier to take action towards making it a reality.

Create a plan – Once you know what you want to do, you need to create a plan of action. What steps do you need to take in order to make your dream a reality?

Set a deadline for yourself – This is important because it gives you a sense of urgency and motivation teo get the task done. If your goal is to start your own business, for instance, giving yourself two years may seem like plenty of time – but chances are you will procrastinate and never get around to it. On the other hand, if you set a deadline of six months, you will be more likely to take action and make progress.

How much money do you need to have to get started?  – Answering this question will help you create a roadmap and timeline to your goal. In my case I got started with one simple website that cost $20 to build

Take action – An important step is to take action towards your goal. This means putting your plan into action and taking small steps each day to move closer to your goal. It won’t happen overnight, but if you stay focused and consistent, you will get there.

Invest in your future – Your time is probably the biggest investment, you may need to learn new skills and spend hours researching the steps you need to take, and also some $’s on things like software and perhaps “how to courses” (though not necessary if you copy the way I do it, it’s free!!)

I followed all of these steps and am now living my dream of working remotely from any location I choose and being my own boss. And I want to show you that it is possible for you too.

I now live wherever I want in the world and work whenever I want, if I have one mantra, it’s – “follow your passions, take action, and never give up on your dreams” if you follow these actions you simply cannot fail!

It’s a big step, and getting out of your comfort zone is not for everyone, so many people are indoctrinated into working in that dreary job all your life then retiring at an age where you simply are not fit and healthy enough to enjoy life.

I never thought I’d be saying this, but I’m so thankful that I took a different direction in my life goals. I used to think that the only way to be successful was to get a good job, work hard, and retire with a comfortable nest egg. But now I enjoy the prospect of waking up each morning knowing there is no soul-sucking, energy-sapping work that I must do without losing my way of life and future.

I’m Not Saying That Going to Work Every Day Is Bad, don’t get me wrong, there are a lot of people who enjoy going to work every day.

They like the challenge of their job, they like the camaraderie of their co-workers, and they like the sense of accomplishment they feel at the end of the day. And that’s great! If that’s what you’re into, more power to you.

For me, though, it just didn’t feel right. I didn’t like the idea of being tethered to a job that I didn’t even like just so I could make ends meet. And I certainly didn’t like the idea of having to answer to a boss who might not have my best interests at heart.

So I made a change. I decided to take some time off and travel the world. And you know what? It was the best decision I ever made. Not only did I get to see some amazing places and meet some incredible people, but I also had the time and freedom to really figure out what I wanted out of life.

I have this life experience to thank for where I am today, I figured it all out, and the best thing is anyone from any walk of life can do exactly the same! if I can do it, a hospitality worker of 20+ years with zero formal qualifications, so can you!

To be clear, the intentions of this website is to pass on some inspiration to anyone stuck in a rut and who desperately wants to get out of the rat race, roam the globe and live the life they deserve.

Enjoy my journey…..
